This Privacy Notice explains how KiboDaily (trading as KiboDaily, "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal data when you use theKiboDaily app and website (the "Service"). KiboDaily is the data controller for the personal data processed in connection with the Service.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), authentication identifiers.
- Profile & wellness data: goals, units, water logs, sleep logs, reminders, preferences you enter.
- Usage & device data: log data, device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, browser/OS, timestamps, crash and diagnostic data.
- Support data: messages you send us by email.
- Billing-related data: when you subscribe, our payment processor Paddle collects your payment information directly. We receive limited transaction metadata (e.g. plan, status, country, last 4 digits).
2. Purposes & legal bases
- Providing the Service (creating your account, storing your logs, syncing reminders) — performance of a contract.
- Security & fraud prevention — legitimate interests in keeping the Service safe.
- Product improvement & analytics — legitimate interests in improving the Service.
- Customer support — performance of a contract / legitimate interests.
- Legal compliance (tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests) — legal obligation.
- Marketing communications, where applicable — consent (you can withdraw at any time).
3. How we share data
We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record and payment processor. Paddle handles checkout, billing, tax, invoicing and refund requests, and is an independent controller for that data. See Paddle's privacy notice at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Hosting & infrastructure providers that store and process data on our behalf.
- Analytics & error-monitoring providers to help us operate and improve the Service.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. Where data is transferred outside the UK / EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or applicable adequacy decisions.
5. Retention
We keep account, profile and wellness data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise this data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep certain records (e.g. billing and tax records, typically up to 7 years).
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request erasure of your data;
- request restriction of, or object to, certain processing;
- request data portability;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
We respond to verified rights requests within one month.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, restricted role-based access, audit logging, regular backups and ongoing security review of our infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
8. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising cookies.
